In the heart of 2017, I had the pleasure of guiding Rachel and Steve through the exciting path of buying their first home. This adorable couple landed a petite a 2 bedroom, 1 bath abode with a large yard that was walkable to some of their favorite spots. Over the years, they made the home their own through cherished memories.

Fast forward five years, and the arrival of their adorable son, Arlo, turned their once cozy cocoon into a lively nest that would soon feel a bit tight. It was time for a change – a bigger space to accommodate their family and fur babes. This is where the real adventure began.

Navigating the complexities of selling and buying simultaneously is no small feat. It demands a skilled agent who can juggle multiple facets seamlessly. Thankfully, with some creative maneuvering, we managed to structure the process so that Rachel, Steve, and little Arlo wouldn’t have to face the hassle of moving twice, or worse being a family of three couch surfers. We created a strategy that allowed them the breathing space to find their dream home without the pressure of rushing out of their current one.

Their journey to the perfect home wasn’t without its twists and turns. After a false start with a property that wasn’t quite right, fate smiled upon us about a month later. We discovered a gem that not only promised a way more space and a low-maintenance lifestyle perfect for their busy lives, but was also serendipitously located next to what would become Arlo’s future elementary school, complete with a playground for his pre-school years. It brings a smile imagining what their lives will look like in the coming years.

With their new home secured, our focus shifted to selling their first home. I took the reins, ensuring the house was professionally staged, complemented by a creative pricing strategy. The result? A flurry of interested buyers and eventually, the perfect match – someone who would cherish the home just as much as Rachel and Steve during their time in the home.

Rachel and Steve’s journey from their cozy first home to a spacious new beginning is a story I’ll always hold dear. Here’s to new beginnings and happy memories for so many years to come!
